PASIGHAT, Jan 30: Fifty-two junior and 15 senior scouts and guides of the IGJ Government Higher Secondary School (IGHGHSS) here in East Siang district were led on a 7-km hike by Scout Master SK Singh on Wednesday.
The event was flagged off by IGHGHSS Principal Tatem Taloh. It involved marching following ‘woodcraft signs’ and reaching the camp on the right bank of Komlighat.
At the camp, DDSE J Yirang, Taloh, and District Trainer Tanya Padung told the scouts and guides about “hiking as a great way to improve the overall psyche of school-going students.” (DIPRO)
