RGU students benefit from lecture on ethnography

RONO HILLS, Mar 9: MA, MPhil and PhD students of Rajiv Gandhi University’s (RGU) anthropology department, along with faculty members, attended a special lecture on ‘Double crisis of contemporary ethnography,’ delivered by Jamia Milia Islamia University’s Associate Sociology Professor, Dr Kulwinder Kaur, at the university here on Monday.
Dr Kaur spoke on “the issues of crisis in relation to contemporary ethnography and the debates involved in doing ethnographic research today,” focusing on various modern-day issues.
“Her lecture generated various issues and benefitted the students of the anthropology department,” RGU Registrar, Prof Tomo Riba, stated in a release.
