Prisoners screened for Covid-19

AALO, Mar 25: An official team including magistrate, doctors and police had detail screening of 17 prisoners for Covid-19 and has been visiting quarantine places of people who have recently come in from outside the state, reports DIPRO.
“Though sufficient days have passed by, it is reported that no symptoms or complaints have been found in quarantined persons,’ the report said.
People in rural areas are not allowing even their kit and kins to get direct entry in their villages unless quarantined in district headquarter where more health facilities exist. The District administration under the leadership of DC Swetika Sachan is closely monitoring the situation, and SP Jummar Basar is in the field with his personnel to impose the total shutdown.
Meanwhile, the civil societies in West Siang district are making all out efforts to ward off Covid-19 infection at various locations by resorting even to traditional ritual of Ali-Ternam.
The mass ritual at district headquarter Aalo is being initiated by GWS Aalo, is starting from Wednesday night and priest Mogi Ori will be performing ritual chanting till wee hours of 26 March, the report added. (DIPRO)
