KHONSA, Apr 23: Troops of the Assam Rifles (AR) seized a huge cache of ammunition from an area near Kunsa village in Tirap district on 21 April.
The cache, consisting of 170 rounds of AK-47 rifles and two magazines, was seized during an operation launched by AR troops, based on input regarding the presence of a group of the NSCN (K-YA) in the area.
The recovered items have been handed over to the police station here for further investigation, the defence PRO informed in a release.
