Power supply disrupted

ITANAGAR, May 4: Electricity supply to central and eastern parts of Arunachal has been disrupted due to damage caused to the 132 kv Daporijo-Aalo transmission line by a fallen tree in between towers 21 and 22 near Megdong area, in Kamle district.
“The felling of the tree has purportedly been caused by human activities and law enforcement department has been intimated to investigate and take necessary action,” the power department’s Transmission Division No II.
Executive Engineer (E), Hibu Bama, informed in a release.
Work on repairing the damage is underway, and restoring the power supply is estimated to take 3-4 days, the EE informed, and appealed to the affected consumers to bear with the inconvenience.
