LEMMI, May 29: The All Pakke Kessang District Students’ Union (APKDSU) has sought the intervention of the Pakke Kessang DC for immediate shifting of Government Residential School, Passa camp to its permanent site, and to develop necessary basic infrastructures within this academic session 2020-21.
In a memorandum to the DC, the union said the school at Passa camp was running smoothly prior to the coming of the Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH).
But, flashfloods have become a regular phenomenon in the school campus since 2014- 15 after the start of formation cutting work of the TAH.
It urged the DC to instruct Sushee Infra Pvt. Ltd. which is the constructing agency of TAH, to clear the accumulated sands, mud and debris etc. near the new school campus and near the Passa bridge for smooth flow of the river water in order to prevent and minimize the occurrence of flood.
