Union seeks infra development at IRBn camp

ITANAGAR, 22 Mar: The Wancho Students’ Union has urged the home minister to develop the infrastructure at the 1st IRBn camp in Lawnu in Longding district.

“As the police department has been proposing for the infrastructure development of 1st IRBn camp of Lawnu, which is strategically located and is close to Tirap district, our local MLA has already completed and provided all other requisite works like electrification with 11 kva power, blacktopped road and water supply,” the union said in a representation to the home minister on Monday.

It also sought installation of a permanent check post (central force) in Kamkuh Russa, stating that “this site, being located at the Arunachal-Assam border has always been vulnerable to many clashes and disputes between the two sides.”
