NAHARLAGUN, 21 May: The capital administration will disburse compensation for structures and assets on National Highway (NH) 415 from Nirjuli to Banderdewa under Package C of the four-lane highway project from 24 to 28 May.
Naharlagun EAC Likha Radh, who is also the chairman of the Highway Compensation Board, informed the media here on Friday that Rs 11.69 crores will be disbursed as compensation for this stretch.
“All total 136 beneficiaries will be given compensation, subject to production of original documents for their claims, supported by photos, bank passbook photocopies and identification proofs before the board, which will sit at the Banderdewa circle office from 10 am onwards upto 4 pm daily from 24 May to 28 May,” he said.
“All the rules and regulations have already been circulated and informed accordingly through the local daily and other sources,” the EAC said.
“The compensation is being paid from Chainage No 51.700 to 59.199 of 7.5 kms from the Catholic church located in Nirjuli to Banderdewa. An amount of Rs 11.69 crores will be disbursed to the beneficiaries,” Radh said.
He appealed to all the beneficiaries to maintain social distance and observe the Covid protocol at the venue.
“No person will be allowed in the campus without wearing a facemask during the disbursement at the CO office in Banderdewa,” he said.
