ITANAGAR, 15 Jul: A massive search operation has been launched to trace the body of the woman identified as Amak Dolo (29), who went missing along with her Mahindra Scorpio vehicle (AR-05-5009) after it skidded off NH 13 and fell into the Pare river near Balapu village in Sagalee circle of Papum Pare district on Wednesday.
The Papum Pare police, the NDRF and relatives of the woman, along with Chayang Tajo MLA Hayeng Mangfi joined the search operation. However, no sign of the missing woman and the vehicle was found.
Sagalee DSP Bomken Basar informed The Arunachal Times that the search operation was carried out downstream of the Pare river, upto the Pare dam.
Basar informed that the search operation will resume on Friday. He also informed that “some locals have reportedly spotted bloodstains on stones on the bank of the river and the search operation team will resume at the particular area.”
The Mahindra Scorpio was coming from Seppa towards Itanagar, and was being driven by one Bishop Nampe (29), of Nampe village in Khenewa circle of East Kameng district.
The vehicle veered off the highway and fell down about 200 metres, and into the Pare river. Bishop Nampe sustained grievous injuries was evacuated to the Sagalee CHC.
