RAGA, 19 Oct: Kamle Deputy Commissioner Adong Pertin visited the remotest village of the district, Mengi Kabak, in Kamporijo circle, on 18 October and participated in the second round of the ‘Covid vaccination maha abhiyan and outreach health camp’ organized at the village by the District Health Society.
Responding to a memorandum submitted by the panchayat leaders of the village, the DC assured them of his intervention to mitigate their problems.
He advised the PRI leaders, GBs and the people to take up sustainable and feasible agriculture and horticulture cultivation.
Stressing on the role of the PRI leaders, GBs and intellectuals of the village in dispelling rumours surrounding the Covid-19 vaccine, the DC requested the people of Mengi Kabak and adjoining villages to “make the villages 100 percent Covid-19 vaccinated.”
He also inspected the schools, health facilities and anganwadi centres in Mengi Kabak, Luba, Radum and Yorkum villages.
The DC was accompanied by, among others, DRCHO Dr Kapu Sopin and WHO PRT Dr Hima Batra. (DIPRO)
