Constitution Day observed

BOLENG, 26 Nov: Constitution Day was observed in various districts of the state on Friday.

26 November is observed as Constitution Day, also known as National Law Day, all over the country to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India on this day in 1950.

In Siang HQ Boleng, the event was led by DC Atul Tayeng and officials of the DC’s office. The DC and the officials read out the preamble to the Constitution.

In Upper Subansiri district, DC Mika Nyori spoke about the constituent assembly of India and briefly narrated the role of Dr BR Amedkar in the making of the Constitution of India, and read out the preamble.

The ICAR’s Arunachal Pradesh centre observed the day in Leparada HQ Basar.

The day was also observed in various parts of West Siang district. At the DC office in Aalo, ADC Liyi Bagra read out the preamble to the Constitution and elaborated the importance of the Constitution.

The West Kameng district & sessions court and the Bomdila Bar Association also observed Constitution Day in Bomdila.

The Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority along with the district legal services authorities observed Constitution Day all across the state.

The political science department of Dera Natung Government College also observed Constitution Day on Friday. The preamble to the Constitution was read out by all present on the occasion. (DIPROs & others)
