Administrative camp conducted

NAITONG, 24 Feb: An ‘administrative camp’ was organized at Naitong village by the Borduria circle officer on Thursday on behalf of the Tirap district administration, in collaboration with the departments of police, health, district food & civil supplies, economic & statistical, and WCD.

In pursuance of a government notification (No DAD-34/2004/1345, dated Itanagar, 28 December, 2011), Naitong village is under the jurisdiction of the Borduria circle officer. However, while the villagers’ voting rights fall under Kanubari constituency in Longding district, their administration falls under the Tirap district administration’s jurisdiction.

As such, the public of Naitong had been devoid of official documents and they were confused for long as to where to go for official documents.

The need for conducting the administrative camp arose when Borduria (Tirap) CO Lim Modi visited and interacted with the public of Naitong. Modi said that “there had been several untold problems since long and the camp was conducted keeping in view the public grievances and requests to conduct an administrative camp to deliver doorstep services in the interest of the villagers of Naitong.”

The CO informed that the camp was organized to create awareness, particularly regarding the government notification that Naitong village comes under Borduria circle, and to provide government benefits to the beneficiaries in general. (DIPRO)
