Soft skills training prog held

ZIRO, 28 Mar: The Lower Subansiri police, in collaboration with Saint Claret College, Ziro (SCCZ) have chalked out a five-phased training package titled ‘Soft skills training for tourism policing’.

Phase 1 of the training took place on Monday at the college on the topics of ‘self-awareness’, ‘creating purpose’, and ’emotional intelligence’. Thirty-four police personnel from across the district attended the programme.

College counsellor Sr Mary Vanaja reflected on her knowledge of self-awareness and creating purpose, and highlighted how important it is to “imbibe a tourist-friendly personality to carry out the role they are tasked with.”

Numerous interactive activities were conducted to develop behaviour at an individual level.

Lower Subansiri SP H Indora, DSP Tasi Darang, SCCZ education department head Dr Sonisha Rimai Syiem, political science department head Dani Lalyang, and political science assistant professor Takhe Apa also spoke.
