CHANGLANG, 3 Apr: Three U-17 football players from Changlang district have been selected by Delhi-based Sudeva FC.
The players are Manwom Mossang (right wing), Warem Khanglim (midfielder), and Jacob Jugli (striker).
They were selected from a group of 30 players after a weeklong trial and coaching conducted by the club’s senior coach Uttam Singh at the Miao general ground on Sunday.
The selected players will be provided with free coaching, education, food and accommodation during their stay in Delhi.
The Changlang district administration will sponsor them for one year, Changlang DSO Noah Mongku said.
Last year, four players were selected from Changlang district by Sudeva. Two of them were sponsored by the chief minister and two by the Changlang district administration, the DSO said, and thanked Changlang DC Devansh Yadav for sponsoring the players.
