Union min calls on governor

ITANAGAR, 29 Apr: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nisith Pramanik called on Governor BD Mishra at the Raj Bhavan here on Friday.

During their discussion, the governor emphasised on “managing the internal security and law and order situations by equipping the state police forces with required arms and strengthening their training infrastructure.”

He also stressed on providing training in soft skills, ie, communication, team management, leadership, and personality development.

Mishra said that “the best way to secure the state and the nation is to develop the remote border areas with good communication networks and self-reliant villages.”

The governor also shared with the minister his observation about insurgency in the eastern districts of Arunachal, and drugs-related issues. He suggested some concrete measures to counter the drug menace in the state. (Raj Bhavan)
