ITANAGAR, 7 May: Governor BD Mishra on Saturday emphasised that a master plan for the Jarbom Gamlin Government Law College (JGGLC) in Jote must be prepared, “so that the infrastructures are created in a need-based manner to cater to the requirements of the JGGLC campus in the coming years.”
Chairing a meeting with Education Commissioner Padmini Singla, PWD (WZ) CE T Talo, Higher Education Director A Jongkey, Papum Pare DC Minga Sherpa, and JGGLC Principal Dr G George at the Raj Bhavan here, Mishra asked the officers concerned to take up the infrastructure development of the college on a mission mode.
“The institute must have proper structure for all required amenities by the students and the security apparatus for a conducive educational environment,” he said.
At the initiative of the governor, who recently visited the college, issues related to college bus and internet connectivity have been sorted out.
The governor directed the education commissioner to “finalise all the infrastructural issues and follow up its effective and speedy implementation.”
A draft master plan was presented during the meeting by the engineering branch of the education department. The governor said that the master plan needed full details and asked that the plan be shown to him again “after its detailed working out.” (Raj Bhavan)
