KAMBA, 8 Jul: Liromoba MLA Nyamar Karbak took stock of the status of electricity supply to Liromoba during a meeting with Kamba ADC R Raksap, HoDs, panchayat members, NGO representatives and officials of the power, the hydropower and the transmission departments, here in West Siang district on Friday.
The participants discussed various issues and problems faced by the departments and the public.
Matters such as irregular power supply, chaotic arrangement of transmission poles and lines threatening animals and humans, frequent power cuts due to malfunctioning of transformer, and poor communication and coordination among the distribution, the transmission and the hydropower wings were also discussed.
“Establishment of substations in Yomcha and Darak; upgrading of the Kamba and Liromoba substations, proposed under the revamp distribution
system scheme for power supply to Kamba area in case of power fault on the 11 kv line in Kamba, Kaying and Darak; and the 33 kv line to be withdrawn and 11 kv line to be fed in isolation from the Siru hydropower station” were also discussed, according to the West Siang DIPRO.
