DAPORIJO, 9 Aug: The first ever Upper Subansiri district badminton championship in various categories for boys and girls concluded at Singhik hall here on Tuesday.
In mixed doubles open category, the pair of Tai Doyom and Yumsi Doyum won the title, while the pair of Nyate Dobin and Adam Doyom were runners-up.
In women’s doubles open category, winners were Jagge Doni and Yapak Nasi. The pair of Yumsi Doyum and Adam Doyom stood second.
In men’s singles open category, Tai Doyom defeated Takam Yolu in final.
In men’s doubles open, winners were Kamnga Ronya and Nyado Rigia. They defeated Tai Doyom and Tania Dobin in final.
In the veteran category, Kamnga Ronya and Rechu Siga were declared winners.
In the under-15 boys singles, Gulum Rava was winner and Nyate Dobin was runners-up.
In under-19 boys single category, Tapik Piya defeated Gulum Rava in final.
In under-19 boys doubles category, Tatu Dobin and Damto Doni were winner and Sunil Gamang and Dadar Tamin were runners-up.
In women’s singles open, Adam Doyum defeated Yumsi Doyum in the final match.
