KHONSA, 9 Sep: Tirap DC Taro Mize on Friday kicked off the U-17 boys’ and girls’ District Level Subroto Mukherjee Cup/School Games Football Tournament at the Nehru Stadium here.
The inaugural match was won by GHSS Khonsa, beating GSS Pinewood by 3-0 goals in the boys’ category.
In the girl’s category, GSS Thinsa defeated GHSS Borduria 1-0.
DDSE Hortum Loyi, BEO (HQ) Nawang Lowang, principals and headmasters attended the inaugural prorgamme.
The tournament is being organised by the district education department. (DIPRO)
