State BJP launches ‘seva pakhwada’ to celebrate PM’s birthday

ITANAGAR, 18 Sep: The state BJP is celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 72nd birthday on 17 September by organising a seva pakhwada (service fortnight) till 2 October.

During the fortnight, party workers will take part in various activities, such as blood donation, health camps, distributing equipment to differently-abled people, vaccination drives, etc.

The party workers will also adopt TB patients in their respective areas.

Addressing the inaugural function here, Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that “India’s transformation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership says it all.”

He heaped praise on the prime minister, going to the extent of saying that “I dedicate whatever we as a state government have achieved in the last six years to our Prime Minister Narendra Modiji.”

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, state BJP president Biyuram Wahge, vice president Nani Lajie, and general secretary Nalong Mize also spoke.

The CM also felicitated former Congress minister Tingkhap Taiju, who joined the BJP on Saturday. (CM’s PR Cell)
