LONGTOM, 6 Jan: The Miao battalion of the 11 Assam Rifles (AR) here in Changlang district, led by its Commandant Col Vivek Tripathi, conducted a free medical camp at Longtom village in Kharsang administrative circle on Friday.
The health camp began with a lecture on the diseases prevalent during the winter season. The team of doctors and health staff of the AR provided free medical consultations and check-ups, besides providing medicines free of cost to the patients of Longtom and adjoining villages.
Expressing appreciation for the AR’s initiative, Miao Singpho Ramma Hpung president Gamseng Singpho urged the commandant to conduct similar camps in the areas on the right bank of the Noa-Dihing river in Miao circle.
