Editor,
I write as one of the newly included candidates for the Arunachal Engineering Services (Mains) Examination with a plea that cannot wait. The APPSC notification of 18 September added hundreds of candidates and fixed the mains for 28 September, leaving us with barely days to prepare for an exam that will decide our lives.
We are not asking for favours. We are asking for one fair chance. This hasty timetable is crushing our hopes, damaging our mental health, and putting the futures of countless young people at grave risk. The commission’s mistake is being borne by aspirants who have sacrificed time, money and peace of mind. If those entrusted with public service do not act now to correct this, the consequences for many families will be tragic.
We respectfully appeal to the chief minister and the governor to intervene immediately and direct the APPSC to announce a fair, final date and to grant adequate preparation time for all candidates. Your timely intervention can prevent needless suffering and restore faith in the system. Please hear our plea – our lives and futures depend on a just and humane decision.
