DEHRADUN, 17 Mar: “All the SCPCRs must work as a pressure group and make the state government realise the gravity of substance abuse by the children. The states must be made to invest more time and resources to address this issue,” said Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR) Chairperson Gumri Ringu.
She said this during the two-day national conference on ‘Prevention and rehabilitation of children involved in substance abuse’ of all India chairpersons.
Organised by the Uttarakhand State Commission for Protection of Child Rights at Dehradun, the conference was attended by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat and chairpersons of 28 states and union territories.
