TAWANG, Oct 30: “Failure or success is secondary if a person has the right attitude,” Chief Minister Pema Khandu told the students of Manjushree Vidyapith orphanage here.
The CM said this during the function to celebrate the orphanage’s 20th foundation day on Tuesday. He along with Manjushree director Lama Thupten Phuntsok earlier lit the ceremonial lamp.
Pema advised the students to be sincere, disciplined and happy, and commended the role of the school’s alumni for organising the orphanage’s foundation day every year.
“This is how one should contribute back to their schools. It is not possible for one to turn back on their homes,” the CM said.
“Manjushree is one of the best performing schools in the district, which makes all of us proud. This is a school where students from all over Arunachal who need care and support for their education are admitted,” he said.
Assuring full support from the state government, Pema promised to provide a corpus fund to the orphanage in the future.
Tawang DC Sang Phuntsok and SP SS Kalsi also spoke.
The school’s children performed Monpa, Tibetan, Punjabi, Rajasthani, Nepali and Gujarati dance as part of the celebration. (CMO)
