PALIN, Jan 27: T Tagar won the veteran men’s singles, beating B Saikia in the final of the Kra Daadi District Level Inter-Circle & Veteran Badminton Tournament-2020, which concluded here on 25 January.
B Saikia, pairing with K Tania of Palin circle, won the veteran men’s doubles title.
D Kagung and T Tagar of Yangte circle were the runners-up.
In the team event, Yangte circle emerged champions, and Palin circle came second.
Attending the closing ceremony, local MLA Balo Raja advised the players to maintain the spirit of sportsmanship. He also highlighted the importance of games and sports to stay fit and healthy.
DC S Miji assured to continue to extend his support to the Kra Daadi District Badminton Association (KDDBA).
KDDBA president Techi Raman highlighted the various problems being faced by the association. He sought support and cooperation from all sports lovers. (DIPRO)
