ITANAGAR, Sep 7: The Lekhi Panchayat Inter-State Bus Terminal Transport Welfare Committee (LPISBTTWS) in a memorandum submitted to the Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Service General Manager demanded immediate cancellation of alleged appointments of outsiders to the posts of sweeper, chowkidar, etc and called for fresh appointments of local people in group C and D posts in the ISBT.
Referring to the representations submitted earlier for appointments of local people in group C and D posts, the committee said that appointments of outsiders in the posts like chowkidar were made in violation of the agreement reached between the government and Panchayat leaders on March 26, 2011.
