AAPSU reiterates its stand against refugees

ITANAGAR, Oct 22: Welcoming the resolutions adopted by the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly in its recently concluded session against the granting of citizenship to Chakma and Hajong refugees in the state and to expedite the process of facilitating platforms for massive consultation in respect of implementing the Tibetan Refugee Policy (TRP), the All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU) said it would leave no stone unturned in protesting against the granting of citizenship to the refugees.
The AAPSU reaffirmed is stand against refugees in its golden jubilee celebration, the apex student body said in a release.
“Rigorous movement to protect the constitutional right of indigenous people of the state shall be launched soon”, AAPSU Deputy Spokesperson Nepha Wangsa said.
