ITANAGAR, Nov 13: The members of Green Arunachal Foundation (GAF) on Monday meet Governor Dr. BD Mishra at Raj Bhawan to apprise him about the alleged move of state government to hand over Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) to a society.
Alleging that recent clarification issued by Parliamentary Secretary for Health and Family Welfare Phurpa Tsering and Director of Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) Dr Moji Jini as a face saving tactic to befool the people of the state, GAF questioned the authenticity of the notice served to the employees of the state Hospital whether they were willing or unwilling to serve under the private players.
“The statement of Phurpa Tsering and Dr.Jini in local dailies denying the outsourcing of TRIHMS to private players has been made to mislead the people.,” said GAF Chairman Takam Tatung.
“We have a copy of the notice served to the employees if they are willing or unwilling to serve under TRIHMS to be run by a private body. The employees have been given seven days ultimatum or face deputation to remote locations of the state, if they disagree with the decision of the state government and authorities of the health department. The employees are being intimidated. It is a case of arbitrary, authoritarian and autocratic decision of the state government”, said Tatung.
