DISPUR, Dec 9: Arunachal Pradesh won a silver and a bronze medal on the opening day of the 63rd National School Games (NSG) Weightlifting held here on Friday.
Markio Tario won the silver in the 56 kg weight category, with a total lift of 216 kgs. He lifted 95 kgs in snatch and 121 kgs in clean & jerk.
Charu Pesi bagged the bronze with a total lift of 193 kgs (snatch – 80 kgs; clean & jerk – 113 kgs).
