ITANAGAR, Feb 14: With Prime Minister Narendra Modi all set to inaugurate the state civil secretariat, the state PWD is basking in the glory of having completed two of major infrastructures of state, namely Legislative Assembly and civil secretariat building.
Often being in news for all the wrong reason, PWD manage to restore some credibility by finishing both the projects.
Further the department is targeting to finish construction of boundary wall around civil secretariat at the earliest.
The work is going on in full swing. “With lot of difficulties we manage to complete both the prestigious project. Now onus lies with people of the state to properly use it and take good care of both the assets. Also state government should properly maintain it,” said an official of PWD.
Meanwhile, the department have appealed to the contractor to immediately construct retaining wall on NH 415 near civil secretariat. “Before monsoon sets in the retaining wall has to be constructed. If not it might cause major threat to structure of secretariat,” said the official of PWD.
