Connect the state, Ering tells BSNL

ITANAGAR, Feb 16: Addressing a Telecom Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting held in Itanagar on Friday, Lok Sabha MP Ninong Ering said that effort must be made to connect the entire state.
“Arunachal Pradesh is a geographically challenging area and extra effort is required to push the telecom network to every nook and corner of the state,”, Ering said.
He emphasized that the provision of mobile service to 1893 villages under the Comprehensive Telecom Development Plan of North East needs to be expedited.
The BSNL officers informed that the BSNL has launched 13 wi-fi hotspots in Itanagar and Naharlagun. Also, wi-fi hotspots have been launched at Bordumsa, Chowkham, Dimwe, Kharsang, and the Likabali Army telephone exchanges, they said.
They also informed that the BSNL will shortly launch its 4G service in Itanagar and Naharlagun area.
The meeting was attended by BSNL General Manager Dilip Siram, Additional GM Arung Siram, TAC members Songtung Lowang Bangsia, Tungri Effa and Taki Mibang, and officials of the BSNL.
