Power supply hit capital

ITANAGAR, Jun 22: Power supply to the twin Capital Complex has been badly hit after a conductor suspending from the 132 KV power lines at Lekhi village in Naharlagun, broke on Thursday night.
Junior Engineer (Power) Capital Division informed the daily that the 132 KV power line running through Lekhi village supplies electricity to both Itanagar and Naharlagun. The JE (Power) however said that repair work is underway.
“Since Pachin river is currently in high spate, workers from the department were finding it difficult to cross it to fix the problem but repair work is almost over and power supply will probably resume till Friday evening,” she added.
