Interactive session held for APPSCCE aspirants

ITANAGAR, Aug 26: An ‘interactive and motivational programme’ was conducted here on Sunday for the candidates from Dambuk assembly constituency who have qualified for the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCCE) mains.
The programme, titled ‘Ro: Puune Mission APPSCCE’, was an initiative of Dambuk MLA Gum Tayeng to boost the morale of the aspiring candidates of her constituency and provide them with a platform to interact with experienced and senior civil servants.
Speaking during the programme, Tayeng exhorted the candidates to work hard to make their dreams come true. She said such programmes would be continued in the future to encourage civil service aspirants of Dambuk, in honour of her husband late Jomin Tayeng, the first IAS officer from the state.
“Coming from a very poor background and after becoming an orphan at a very young age, education was what kept him going in life,” the MLA said of her husband.
PWD Commissioner Bilatee Pertin also shared words of encouragement with the aspirants. He stressed on time management and early preparations for the civil services examination. He also emphasized on regular newspaper reading, and told the aspirants to read as much as possible.
Secretary to Chief Minister, Sonam Chombey, also advised the aspirants to work with dedication and determination and keep a positive approach. He advised them that they should not confine themselves to the state level civil services but also eye the UPSC and other such examinations.
Trade & Commerce Director Tokong Pertin advised the aspirants to work harder for the mains as there is no short-cut to success.
Senior advocate Tony Pertin also encouraged the aspirants.
Earlier, Circle Officers Une Pertin and Kabang Apum, DSP Ringgu Ngupok and DIRO Ajay Saring gave comprehensive information to the aspirants on how to prepare for civil service examinations.
The participants were highly interactive and took full advantage of the opportunity to have their doubts clarified by experts.
The Tayeng family also gave Rs 50,000 each to all the 52 APPSCCE 2018 prelims qualifiers of Dambuk assembly constituency as a token of encouragement, and for preparing for the main examination, coaching, etc.
