Min seeks cooperation for development

BASSARNALLO, Aug 26: Environment & Forests Minister Nabam Rebia urged the local residents to cooperate with the government for all-round development of Sangdupota circle in Papum Pare district.
Addressing the foundation day celebration of the Bassarnnallo Sangtam Ajin Multi Purpose Cooperative Society Limited (BSAMPCS) here on Sunday, Rebia said Sangdupota circle has witnessed many development activities, including establishment of the NIT, the TV & Film Institute, law college, and the entrepreneur development institute, and upgrading of the Bassarnallo middle school to secondary school.
Informing that fund has been provided for renovation and upgrading of the Jote PHC, he said senior doctors from the TRIHMS would start visiting the PHC soon.
“A proposal has been placed before the government to start construction of the road from Bassarnallo to Seijosa again,” he said, adding that the area would be slowly developed into a small township.
Responding to a memorandum submitted by the local committee seeking a pharmacy, a fair price shop, and financial support for the MPCS movement in the area, Rebia assured to extend all possible support.
Arunachal Pradesh Cooperative Union president Susil Nalo elaborated the activities undertaken by the cooperation department, the cooperative union, and the RCS to strengthen the cooperative movement in the state.
Papum Pare District Cooperative Union chairperson Nabam Amzi Tajo lauded the MPCS activities in the area and exhorted one and all to get involved in the cooperative movement. She also urged the MPCS to create more awareness on the cooperative movement.
BSAMPCS chairman Nabam Tahi Nekil highlighted the activities of the MPCS.
Among others, former PR leader Gollo Tallo and shareholder HN Hina also spoke.
