RUKSIN, Aug 26: The National People’s Party (NPP) has said it will field candidates in all the three assembly constituencies in East Siang district in the forthcoming assembly elections.
This was disclosed by the party’s district president Tapang Taloh during a function held at the market area here on Sunday to open the party’s office here in Pasighat West constituency.
Highlighting the party’s ideologies and agenda, Taloh exhorted party workers and office-bearers to intensify political activities in the district, in view of the coming elections.
State NPP general secretary (and the party’s in-charge for Upper Siang and East Siang) Ote Taying, East Siang district general secretary Tabiram Moyong, and Ruksin block president Kapong Paron also attended the function.
Seven of the nine elected MLAs of the People’s Party of Arunachal joined the NPP during July this year. The NPP is a partner of the ruling alliance led by the BJP as both the parties are in the North East Democratic Alliance, which governs the state.
