Congress playing role of constructive oppn: Tuki

“We have cooperated with the Pema Khandu-led government for all-round development in the last two years. We are maintaining the role of a constructive opposition,” said the veteran Congress leader, addressing a party meeting at the general ground here in Toru circle of Papum Pare district on Saturday.
“I have cooperated with the Khandu-led government
always and played a constructive role even as a member of the opposition party. I have never criticized the government in matters of public importance,” Tuki, the Sagalee MLA, said.
“Even in the assembly I supported all the good works in the interests of the state and its people. But, having said that, the party will not remain a mute spectator to any wrongdoing of the state government and will oppose it,” Tuki said.
Tuki asserted that he has been working for the people of the state and Sagalee for more than 20 years, and has never discriminated against anyone in the name of party or religion.
“I have been able to deliver services to the people during my youth period and in the capacity of party leader, minister, chief minister and even as an MLA. I always try my level best for the development of my assembly constituency (Sagalee) and will continue to work in the future too,” Tuki said.
