Villagers avail govt services

LENKA, Sep 27: Over 30 departments participated in the ‘Sarkar Apke Dwar’ camp organised here by the Papum Pare district administration on Thursday.
The camp, which was inaugurated by Diphu GB T Kaya in the presence of DC Dr Joram Beda, benefited approximately 1700 people from Lenka, Tengabari, Mob, Gai, Diphu, Lower Tubung, Upper Tubung, Balijan, Balijan Karbhi, and Balijan Nishi villages.
The fisheries department distributed fingerlings to 10 progressive farmers; 10 mothers received demi cheques or Rs 1000 and Rs 2000 under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana; and IEC materials for the safety and health of women and children were distributed.
The district food & civil services department gave away free LPG connections to 50 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, and the education department distributed free textbooks and uniforms and provided counselling materials to children.
DRDA PD M Loyi handed over Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) house keys to eight beneficiaries, 10 job cards were issued, and two works completed under the MNREGA inaugurated.
The health department registered and screened 153 people under the National Health Mission and the National Vector Born Diseases Control programmes, and awareness programme on prevention of various diseases was conducted, along with free distribution of medicines.
DMO Dr Subu Tasso Kampu and her team sensitized the public to the benefits of full incentivization and the Dulari Kanya Scheme.
The APEDA distributed solar items, including 800 bulbs and six fans, under the Ujjala Scheme. (DIPRO)
