ITANAGAR, Jan 15: Chief Secretary Satya Gopal emphasized on proper monitoring and evaluation of all the schemes being implemented by the women & child development (WCD) department in the state.
Speaking during the State Empowered Programme Committee (SEPC) meeting for approving the annual programme implementation plan (APIP) under the Anganwadi Services Scheme (ASS) for the year 2019-20 here on Tuesday, Gopal said the deputy directors, child development project officers, anganwadi workers, anganwadi helpers and other staffs under the anganwadi services “have a huge responsibility for holistic development of children and women at the grassroots level.”
The CS reviewed the supplementary nutrition programme, information education and communication activities, supply of preschool education kits, medicine kits, etc, and asked the officials and officers to execute their duties and responsibilities with utmost dedication.
He also asked the department to participate in Sarkar Aapke Dwar camps and disseminate information about its programmes and policies.
The SEPC approved Rs 22581.89 lakhs under the APIP for 2019-20, with Rs 17796.50 lakhs as central share.
Health Commissioner Dr AC Verma, WCD Commissioner Gamli Padu, PHED Commissioner Marnya Ete and RD Secretary Tsering Tashi were also present at the meeting. (CSO)
