Org seeks proper monitoring of TAH repair work

ITANAGAR, Mar 2: Claiming that the repair and maintenance work being carried out on the Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) in Kamle district is of substandard quality, the All Kamle District Anti-Corruption Organisation has urged the western zone chief engineer (CE) to ensure proper monitoring of the work.
In a representation to CE, the organisation on Friday said “there have been many complaints from the general public that contractors are not maintaining standard while executing repair and maintenance work which will be undertaken in three phases, ie, Pamluk to Dukum, Dukum to Puchigeko, and Puchigeko to Sigen.”
It also requested the CE not to release any payment to the contractor undertaking the work unless the work is completed without compromising on quality.
