State’s basketball team to participate in zonal competition

NAHARLAGUN, Mar 26: A 17-member team of the Arunachal Pradesh Basket Ball Association (APBBA) left for Kolkata in West Bengal on Tuesday to participate in the national level basketball tournament starting there on 28 March.
APBBA president Donyi Ori Eshi informed that the players along with officials from the state will compete in the east zone basketball tournament.
The tournament is being organised by the Basketball Federation of India.
There are 12 players representing the state. They are Amo Padi, Habung Niti, Nadang Heluipeung, C Malsawmkmkima, H Lalawmpua, Lee Jerang, Nani Horchi, Koj Tubing, Kipa Yulo, Miding Mongku and Patai Giri Basumatary.
Amo Padi is the team captain, while the team coach is Vishale Thakuri, and Tarh Pupu is the team manager.
APBBA vice president Umesh Bagang and assistant general secretary Thomas Murtem were also present at the send-off.
