Natung, Lowang attend jal shakti ministry meet

NEW DELHI, Jun 11: Arunachal Pradesh Water Resources Minister Mama Natung and PHE & Water Supply Minister Wangki Lowang attended a meeting of the new jal shakti ministry here on Tuesday.
During the meeting, union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat informed that the government will soon launch the ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’, through which the government would strive to increase piped water connections from the current 18 percent to 100 percent by 2024.
The meeting was attended by the state ministers on water conservation, rural drinking water supply and Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen), and secretaries of water resources and drinking water.
From Arunachal, the secretary and additional secretary of the WRD and the PHE departments also attended the meeting.
