APSSB urged to discontinue online application invitation

ITANAGAR, Aug 6: The Arunachal Unemployed Civil Engineers’ Coordination has requested the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) secretary to immediately discontinue online invitation of applications for the posts of personal assistant, UDC, JSA and LDC-cum-computer operator, the last date of submission of which is already over, and conduct the exams at the earliest.
In a representation to the APSSB secretary, the organisation on Tuesday said, “The APSSB carried a second advertisement vide File No APSSB/ADVT-8/2018, 9 January, 2019, for posts such as personal assistant, UDC, JSA and LDC-cum-computer operator.
“Then the web portal was opened from 14 January to 14 February. But it was extended to 24 February, then again extended to 26 March. Many unemployed youths are in immense pressure because of their legal age bar, but the APSSB has still kept the portal open for the same advertisement even six months after the expiry of the last date of submission by giving an addendum,” it said.
The organisation said “we are not opposed to the addendum, but we do criticize inviting new applicants. It will leave the field open for backdoor entry through political interference.”
