Forum seeks teachers, staff in Palin college

ITANAGAR, Aug 6: Claiming that the government model degree college in Kra Daadi HQ Palin is functioning without adequate teachers and clerical staff, the Arunachal Pradesh Colleges Forum has requested the authorities concerned to immediately post adequate teaching and clerical staff at the college.
In a press release, the forum on Tuesday said its members, led by its president Jamru Mania, visited the college on 1 August and found that it there were no teachers and staff for carrying out the admission process.
“The college’s principal had to carry out the admission process alone and there are over 70-80 students who already got admitted. Also, there is shortage of infrastructure development in the college,” the forum said.
It also demanded completion of the academic block, being constructed under the RUSA scheme by the Jamin RWD division, before the start of the 2019-20 academic session, and requested the education department to set up a committee to inspect the college for temporary affiliation to Rajiv Gandhi University.
The forum also demanded that the authorities provide a college bus and repair the road from the main road to the college campus at the earliest.
