NAMSAI, Aug 6: Local MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom on Tuesday inaugurated two LED wall screens, at 2 Mile and Namsai Club, for displaying and disseminating information about the government’s programmes, and for public information.
Namsai is the second district in the state, after Papum Pare, to have such LED wall screens in public places.
Namchoom termed it an achievement on the part of the elected representatives of the district and the district administration for “coming up with innovative ways to narrow down the gap between the district administration and the general public.”
DC Tapasya Raghav, who was also present on the occasion, expressed hope that the LED walls would help in generating awareness about various government programmes and policies in the district.
SP Ankit Singh, administrative officers, and HoDs of the district were present on the occasion.
Later, Namchoom also inaugurated a children’s park here. The park has swings, slides, seesaws, spiral slides and rides for children. (DIPRO)
