NAHARLAGUN, Nov 2: Various games and sports competitions, being organized as part of the Si-Donyi festival celebration, began at the Si-Donyi Jaring Badminton Club here on Saturday.
Sixty players are participating in the badminton tournament, in various categories, and football, volleyball, cricket, archery and marathon will also be organised.
Addressing the gathering on Saturday, Arunachal Olympic Association (AOA) secretary-general Abraham K Techi urged the youths to stay fit and take up sports as careers. He also spoke about the importance of games and sports competitions and the role of the AOA in promoting them in the state.
