Gov apprises president of issues concerning state

NEW DELHI, Dec 16: Arunachal Governor BD Mishra called on President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan here on Monday, and apprised him of the important issues pertaining to Arunachal.
Mishra briefed Kovind on the status of the flagship programmes and developmental projects being implemented by the state government, as well the various challenges being faced by the state.
Sharing the observations he made during his tours to various districts along the international borders, the governor stressed the need to accord special attention to education, agriculture and allied sectors, and tourism.
The focus must be on skill development and startups to boost the employability of the youths, he suggested.
The governor also informed the president that he regularly conducts meetings with the heads of the premier educational institutes of the state, besides interacting with students.
Mishra also reiterated the need for a separate central services cadre for Arunachal, and for a review of the table of precedence of India. (Raj Bhavan)
