Skill development prog held

YINGKIONG, Jan 7: A skill development programme for registered building and other construction workers was held at the multipurpose hall here in Upper Siang district on 5 January.
CO Philip Jerang, who inaugurated the programme, described it as “a golden opportunity for registered workers to enhance their skills,” and advised the trainees to “utilize the opportunity, learn and better their livelihood prospect.”
Among others, the All Arunachal Pradesh Workers’ Union’s district unit chief advisor, Avinash Panggam, appealed to the department concerned to “monitor the training process and see that purpose of the training is served.”
The training programme was an initiative of the Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, and was conducted by Kolkota (WB)-based Sunita Infotech.
Sunit Infotech manager RK Prasad informed that “skill development training and course on computer software and hardware, automotive two-wheeler, automotive four-wheeler, and domestic electrician will be offered for registered workers and their dependents of Yingkiong, Upper Siang district.” (DIPRO)
