ITANAGAR, Feb 18: The Nyokum Yullo Celebration Committee-2020 here is organizing various events in the run-up to the 40th Nyokum Yullo celebration at Nyokum Lapang.
Besides setting up stalls for local cuisines and traditional handlooms and handicrafts, various games, sports and cultural events will be organized in the run-up to the celebration.
Capital SP Tumme Amo, who inaugurated the events in the presence of entrepreneur Bengia Bado on Tuesday, lauded the organizers for including games and sports and putting up stalls for traditional handlooms and handicrafts.
He appealed to the Nyishi community to carry forward their age-old traditional practices and to take part in Nyokum and other festivals of the community.
