Min donates to W/Siang DA, essential commodities’ supply starts

AALO, Mar 29: Industries Minister Tumke has donated Rs 2 lakhs to the West Siang administration for purchasing clinical masks, sanitizers, gloves, etc.
The supply of essential commodities to the colonies and sectors here started on Sunday, following a complete shutdown for two days on account of a mass ritual that had been conducted. DFCSO RN Lendo is supervising the supply of essential commodities.
DC Swetika Sachan held a meeting with all stakeholders with regard to home delivery of essential commodities, closure of small shops and markets, and controlling gathering of people.
The DC instructed all departments to work out contingency plans “to counter unforeseen disaster that may strike us anytime.”
She suggested utilizing the services of retired officials of the medical department, providing government aid to wage earners and incentives to the poor people hit by the lockdown, and looking into the “displacement of tenants by landlords,” among other things.
