ITANAGAR, 6 Apr: The senior teacher Pagrik Sora, who was reportedly assaulted by West Siang Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi on 21 March last after an altercation over a parking issue at Aalo town, has alleged that the police are yet to initiate any action on the FIR filed by him against the DC.

Talking to this daily, Sora alleged that “the police have neither recorded his statement nor that of the eyewitness till now.”

“While the police have not initiated any action, there are attempts to intimidate me and eyewitnesses. I am being mentally tortured,” alleged Sora. He also alleged that attempts have also been made to make him compromise the case.

“This is not my fight alone. I am fighting for the dignity of every self-respecting human being. No one deserves to be humiliated and assaulted the way I was done. I appeal to the authorities to immediately initiate action based on my FIR,” he added.

Sora had submitted the FIR on 21 March, in which he accused the DC of assaulting him at the market in broad daylight over a petty parking issue. The DC also lodged a counter FIR, alleging that Sora obstructed him while on official duty.
